Broadcast Journalism

Broadcast Journalism Studies is a program that focuses on the methods and techniques for reporting, producing, and delivering news and news programs via radio, television, and video/film media; and that prepares individuals to be professional broadcast journalists, editors, producers, directors, and managers.

Broadcast Journalism majors and degree programs will include instruction in the principles of broadcast technology; broadcast reporting; on- and off-camera and microphone procedures and techniques; program, sound, and video/film editing; program design and production; media law and policy; and professional standards and ethics.

What can you do with a major/degree in Broadcast Journalism Studies?

Although this may be a tough profession to get into (due to its dynamic popularity), those who establish themselves may find a career in editing, reporting, acting as a correspondent, or carrying out duties such as news presenting or anchoring.

Trade Associations and Professional Organizations in Broadcast Journalism

Professional associations are groups of professionals dedicated to topics in specific fields.
