An Engineering Science major/degree program focuses on the general application of various combinations of mathematical and scientific principles to the analysis and evaluation of engineering problems, including applied research in human behavior, statistics, biology, chemistry, the earth and planetary sciences, atmospherics and meteorology, and computer applications.
Includes exploring engineering courses that are both common to all engineering disciplines as well as those that are major specific. Additionally, fundamental engineering courses include structural analysis, thermodynamics, topographic drawing and surveying, and materials mechanics.
What can you do with a major/degree in Engineering Science?
With a major/degree in Engineering Science, you have may have the opportunity to launch a career as (but not exclusive to) an electrical process engineer, engineering technician, data analyst, systems engineer, or mechanical design engineer.
Trade Associations and Professional Organizations in Engineering Science
Professional associations are groups of specialists dedicated to topics in particular fields. Professional associations provide a wealth of online resources, some of which are geared specifically towards students. These organizations typically also host conferences and events, providing great opportunities for learning and networking across your field of interest.
